Add a splash of colour to your window (or wall) with this unique wish stick handcrafted in the Lake District.
The wish stick (suncatcher) was made from transparent turquoise, cobalt blue and crystal clear artisan glass using the trencadís technique - inspired by the work and philosophy of Gaudi.
The coloured glass was placed on a clear artisan base and a copper wire hook was inserted between the top layers.
Once the wish stick was assembled, it was placed in the kiln and subjected to a contour fuse (the individual pieces fused together but have still retained some of their original shape and texture.
Although designed to hang in the window, it can also be hung on the wall. Follow the tradition started in 1926 by a small Mill boy - hang the suncatcher and make a wish as it catches the light.
***The listing is for ONE suncatcher. A range of sizes are available and each suncatcher is purposefully unique in design.
PACKAGING: All items will be securely wrapped in bubble wrap and posted in a well padded box. Although not always feasible, whenever possible, I attempt to reuse packaging in order to reduce the environmental impact.
