A contemporary plum glass art wave handcrafted in the Lake District; inspired by the natural landscape in the Lyth Valley.
The large wave was handmade from light plum, dark plum and crystal clear artisan glass.
The plum glass is a warm purple colour with red undertones - reminiscent of the damson orchards in the Lyth Valley. The intensity of the colour differs with the amount of light it is exposed to.
It is approximately 37.5 cm (L) x 10 cm (H) x 5 cm (D).
The textured nature of the clear glass adds additional visual and tactile interest.
It is a striking piece of glass art suitable for placement on any flat surface.
The freestanding wave would make a stunning centrepiece for a living room shelf or mantlepiece.
If laid flat, it could be used as a contemporary dining room or coffee table centrepiece.
It looks particularly beautiful placed in front of a window or other direct light source, as the translucent nature of the wave allows light to shine through and reflect colour onto the surrounding surfaces.
PACKAGING: All items will be securely wrapped in bubble wrap and posted in a well padded box. Although not always feasible, whenever possible, I attempt to reuse packaging in order to reduce the environmental impact.
